Our story
Solana Desktop Study Desk began when a handful of Birmingham readers asked for the same thing: a quiet place to learn what mainnet explorers actually show, without joining a trading chat or a token launch. We started as evening study circles in a shared office on Sample Street, projecting explorer tabs onto a wall and narrating each field aloud.
By 2023 we formalised the sessions as remote desk consultations. The pandemic had already normalised screen sharing; our readers preferred staying at their own keyboards. We kept the paper handouts — now PDF follow-up notes — and dropped the jargon contests.
Today we are a small team: two session leads, one editor for the guides shelf, and a part-time administrator who handles scheduling. We are not a wallet provider, not a validator, and not affiliated with Solana or the Solana Foundation. We teach reading skills.
